The interview that I read was about Chris and his challenges as an iron worker. The Interviewer asked Chris if his job was dangerous. His response was, "You ain't an Iron worker unless you get killed...Men hurt on all jobs." He also said that a lot of the workers got hurt and a few got killed. When he got hurt, he broke his collar bone, all the ribs, and three vertebrae. He could not work for four years.
As I read this interview I noticed that it was a lot more dangerous to be working as a steel worker in 1938 than it is today because today we have advanced our machines. Personally, I would never consider having this job because I would be afraid of accidents. I'm not exactly brave when it comes to big dangerous machines. Comparing to me, Chris was a brave worker.
